ID: Fairfield Street, Eureka, California

Notes: Named after Charles C. Fairfield (Gen. 8: John-Walter-William-Skipper-William-David-Jason-Charles), who migrated from Pomfret, CT, to California in the early 1850s. He settled in Eureka, where he owned and operated South Park, a racetrack. He also owned several saloons in downtown Eureka. The street sign is located on what used to be his property.
